EMPLOYERS looking to grow their businesses with confidence can tap into a pool of technically skilled and highly motivated graduates next month at a recruitment fair.
The University of Sunderland has organised the Graduate Recruitment Fair on February 28, and is encouraging employers to register their space.
The University has allocated up to 50 free exhibitor spaces for top recruiting organisations and companies from within the region and the UK. A high level of demand is anticipated from public and private sector organisations alike, eager to spot the next generation of talent that the University has on offer to drive their businesses forward.
Commenting on the Fair, David Donkin, the University’s Assistant Director of Business Services, said: “At the University of Sunderland preparing students for employment starts as soon as they step onto campus. Through the curriculum and our Sunderland Futures programme, employability is at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is clear – to provide students with an outstanding platform for their personal and professional development to support them in their future careers.
“At our Graduate Recruitment Fair employers will have access to high quality students and work-ready graduates, equipped with a comprehensive set of skills to make a positive contribution to the workplace.
“We have been delighted by the level of take up from organisations to-date and are encouraging more companies to follow suit and register online at www.gradrecfair14.eventbrite.co.uk by January 31.”
Several hundred graduating students are expected to attend and in the weeks leading up to the Fair, the University’s Careers and Employability Service is working to facilitate connections, by providing a range of focused employability sessions to students who pre-register.
